Letterpress vs. Indian Invites

July 20th, 2005 @ 10:46 pm by Mrs. Firefly

I’ve also been looking a bit at invites. Right now I have it down to two things: letterpress or Indian. Indian? Yes Indian! You can get GORGEOUS invites from India at a fraction of the cost of US. I just have to make sure they are not overly ethnic. Let me know what you think…

These are both from Marsville Letterpress which is a Canadian company with great prices.

There are tons of others I like and will order samples in various colors.

There is something very interesting on the indian invite website - they offer calligraphy for envelopes but computer printing costs MORE than hand written calligraphy! Crazy!

I have a very good, very inexpensive letterpress printer who has prices that seem to be less than most letterpress printers, but he is just starting out which may be part of the reason. Samples can be sent, there are other letterpress samples shown on my website-www.invitationimagination.com) two Indian invitations, one is a gold and red patterned paisley gatefold with a tassel and the other (there are more)is a very pretty envelope in blind embossing also with a tassel. These are the only two that are on the website, but there are samples that can be sent. I have a supplier in B.C. can.
