With my invitation design almost completed (I promise to share the pdf’s later this week), I’ve been checking out possible designs for the ceremony programs, menu cards and other “peripherals.”

I came across Margie at Mine-by-Design, who makes great programs for $1.85 each. Once I factor in the cost of the paper, paper cutter, the color ink cartridges I’d likely go through, the custom fonts I’d have to buy and my blood, sweat and tears… this is a very good price.

Did you order/make a program for every guest or each couple?

I got married back in Oct 2005 and waited to make the programs the night before the wedding. It was a big mistake- not only did I slave over them, trying to make them beautiful and just right but then at the wedding only about half were taken. I made 250 programs with my fiance! =( So I suggest getting them made and ordering only about half the number of how ever many guests you have or just making simple ones, because not many people seem to really care about the program besides the soon-to-be married couples. =P

I would order one per couple… At my brother’s wedding we had half the programs left. Kinda a waste of money.

Does anyone know how to contact mine-by-design? I am interestd in the candy bar labels, menu card, and some other things. I have tried several time emailing Margie, but I have not gotten any response. It has been months. Does she have a contact number? Id she still in business? I am getting married in June 2008. Also, does anyone know of any websites to go to to get wedding fan programs? Thanks ladies!!
