Makeup Trial

With time to kill on a Sunday afternoon, my best friend and I headed to Bloomingdales so that I could get a free makeup trial.

I hate makeup. Sure I’ll wear some mascara, eye shadow, and lip gloss; perhaps Yves Saint Laurent’s Touche Eclat to brighten up my face when I go out. But I don’t do foundation, coverup, concealer, or even powder. I have pretty good skin (knock on wood) and I think part of the reason is that I generally keep it bare.

I’ve had my makeup done several times for weddings, parties and just for fun, and generally, I haven’t liked the outcome. I might look pretty all done up, but I don’t look like me. I want to look through my wedding albums and recognize the girl in the white dress.

So without further ado, the before and after at the Laura Mercier counter at Bloomies. Whadya think?

pretty!!! they did a great job on you. its just perfect, and not too much gunk. (i agree with you on leaning towards the natural) you would even look nice in a lipstick one shade brighter.
