Mr. Bee and I took pictures around the city in our wedding attire before our wedding. We were running way behind schedule, but were able to take pictures in 3 different locations: 1) behind the Ritz Carlton Battery Park, 2) City Hall, and 3) Brooklyn Bridge Park.

The pictures we took at Brooklyn Bridge Park with Manhattan and the Brooklyn Bridge in the background were definitely my favorite - well worth the trip across the bridge. There is no parking though so be sure you have a driver.

I’d always wanted to take wedding pictures in front of the Flatiron Building but there was construction on the building at the time so it was covered with ugly black tarps. We also didn’t have time to make it uptown to Grand Central and stuck to the downtown area for our pictures.

Central Park Conservatory Gardens
105th Street & 5th Avenue Entrance

Flatiron Building
23rd Street & 5th Avenue
Madison Square Park is across the street. Call 212-489-6710 or visit the Mayor’s Office of Film to get free permit for still photography.

72nd Street & 5th Avenue entrance

Bryant Park
All photo shoots at Bryant Park require a permit, but wedding photography is free. You have many photographic opportunities here with the park, the Manhattan Library, a water fountain and now an ice skating rink.

Times Square
It doesn’t get more quintessential New York than this!
