Recently we’ve received a lot of emails from brides asking us how to find Knottie Bios. To tell you the truth, I could never figure it out either so I’ve never surfed any bios myself.

Our Knottie correspondent Miss Dragonfly tells us that she uses the magnificentbliss directory (where brides add their own bios) to begin searching. If you know the username of a specific bride, you can also put it into theknot’s bio search tool.

For the most part though, I think brides jump from one bio to another by clicking on links. And as far as I can tell, there is no way to look for bios in specific cities (I think there used to be an engine for that but it no longer works).

Bios can be a very helpful tool when planning your wedding - it just takes a little practice to learn how to surf them. Hope this helps. Happy surfing!

To find some bios with pictures and info:

To find some knottie bios and their wedding details with pictures… go to the knot’s homepage / from there you will see on the left hand side a green box called “content area” / in that section pick “real weddings”/ on the next page you’ll see a blue box section called “real wedding categories” /click which interests you / from there you can narrow it down and pick a city, color, season, ect. / on this last page you see a list of hundreds of bios with fun details to get your own ideas going. Hope this helps

to find bios for particular cities you can perform a google search by entering the following in the search field:

“location: memphis” site:theknot.com/co_profileview.htm?profilename=

just change memphis to whatever city you are looking for.

you can also search using the following in google:

memphis site:theknot.com/co_profileview.htm?profilename=

however this will bring up all of the knottie pages that have that word in it, so it could be just a reference to that town name but not necesarily a bio of someone in that town.
