That’s Gratitude

April 7th, 2006 @ 1:20 pm by Mrs. Bee

Miss Firefly blogged yesterday about how much she hates writing thank you cards. I understand because it was a lot of work for Mr. Bee and I to finish all our thank you cards - it’s hard to write so many, find the right wording, etc. In fact there are weddings we attended last year for which we still haven’t received thank you cards.

Writing thank you cards may be time consuming and difficult, but it is necessary to thank your guests properly for being a part of your big day.

But now there may be an easier way… That’s Gratitude offers a service that writes thank you notes for you! They use the profile form you fill out and your gift information to create 5-10 custom templates for your thank you notes.

Here’s a sample:

Dear Ed & Rachel,

Thank you so much for the place setting. Thanks to your generosity we are well on our way to having a complete service and look forward to using it for special occasions for many years to come.

It was great to see you at the wedding. We are eager to get our pictures back and relive our special day.

Best wishes,
Jen and John

Wow there really is a service for everything! Also check out Erica’s post which has links to cute thank you cards. Happy thanking!

Seriously…nobody writes thank you cards anymore for their wedding gifts! I sent thank you cards out 3-4 months after my wedding, but at least I sent them! This is especially annoying when you have wedding gifts shipped to the couple directly - how will I ever know they received it if I don’t get a thank you card?!?

i never received a thank you card from my friend’s wedding 3 years ago, and to top it off - i was a bridesmaid! yes, the bridal party received the obligatory day-of wedding jewelry but not one thank you note was sent for any of the wedding presents.

After my engagement party, I felt obligated to send out thank you cards within the two week time frame. I’m really lazy and had remembered seeing a post on a messageboard about how hard it is to make up a thank you card for ugly vases, gift cards that took no thought, and other things you never registered for, really would have never wanted and will probably never use.

This website was listed in the post. It’s a really simple thank you note creator and works pretty well if you need a little help. And it’s free, which always makes things more appealing.
