The New York Department of Taxation concluded last week that same-sex married couples in New York cannot file their taxes jointly as married couples. While the move has immediate implications for LGBT married couples who were planning to file jointly, the tax department’s findings are out of step with other areas of New York State law regarding validly married same-sex couples.

I’ve always been a supporter of gay rights. Everyone should watch the documentary “Tying the Knot” to learn more about the injustices toward same sex couples
I agree - if two people love each other, they should be allowed to marry. There’s no reason that gay people can’t be as miserable as the rest of us! (Just kidding, I love you honey).
