I really wanted to have an a cappella group perform during our cocktail hour. I contacted groups at several nearby colleges, but unfortunately, because we are getting married in June — after the school year is over — none of the groups are available. Oh well, I can’t have everything. My band will be performing during cocktail hour, so there will still be music, I was just hoping to have something a bit different.

Hi Ms. Firefly! I know you have your heart set on a college a capella group for your wedding. However, I have a wonderful solution. I know an acapella group that won many awards and they frequently sing in carnegie hall at Lincoln Center every winter.
The thing is, they are from an all girl catholic highschool in Jersey city, NJ.

I used to sing for the Bryn Mawr College Nightowls. We did a couple gigs for wedding cocktail hours and such…

Tufts Beelzebubs (http://www.bubs.com/) is a very professional all-male acappella group. I saw them at many shows, all turned out amazing and the audiences loved them. They also do private shows for different occassions and I have seen their pictures performing for a wedding reception. I’d recommend you to contact them.
