Poolside Setup

April 28th, 2006 @ 10:42 am by Mrs. Ant

I confess … Mr. Ant and I are not an exemplary engaged couple. In fact, we’ve committed many wedding-planning sins. One of them was booking our venue sight unseen. That’s right, we put down a huge deposit based on mere website images and testimonials alone.

Well, we finally visited our venue and saw it with our own eyes for the first time … and? … And we loooove it! Who wouldn’t fall in love with paradise? It’s truly magical. We were sad to leave, but cannot frickin’ wait to go back for our wedding! And again for our 1st anniversary … and our 2nd anniversary … and our N+1 anniversary …

Here’s a schematic of the Poolside Reception Setup (minus all the lounge chairs and umbrellas, of course)

These photos do not do the venue justice. The Rockhouse is far more breathtaking in real life. I’m delighted to share this magical place with our guests on our wedding day.

Hey Jasmine,

Thanks for the comment.

But, yes, Shey (Marin03) and have been emailing back and forth with our wedding plans for months! We’ve been slowing finding other Rockhouse brides and introducing them to our email group… and we now have a healthy group of *7* brides all getting married at the Rockhouse!

Between the 7 of us, we send out dozens and dozens of emails every week! It’s great… I don’t know what I’d do without them!

hello ms ant. this is mrs ladybug’s sister, hannah. I see you wanted more pictures of my updo at my sister’s wedding. I don’t know if she emailed you any pictures, but just to give you some background, I have short hair (my bob comes down to mid-neck length). When I went to another salon in Atlanta for a test run, they said they couldn’t do that sort of do because it was short, too straight and too coarse. But Jason at Pierre and Carlo in Philly said “gurl, I can do that and a bag of chips.” My updo was curls, spraying and pinning. Jason mentioned that he used to work at a salon in NYC that was good with my type of hair. P&C’s number is (215) 790-9910…maybe he can give you the salon in NYC if that is where you are at. -Hannah

I’m also getting married at the Rockhouse in June of 2007. I’d be interested in exchanging emails with other Rockhouse brides. How can I get your email?

I’m getting married at the Rockhouse too!! (July 28, 2007).
I’ve been looking at mrs. marin’s pictures and they are unbelievable. I have a ton of questions about decorating and setup and would love to join your email group. Thanks!
