These personalized Boy Meets Girl totes and hoodies (in the blue?) from Shop Intuition would be cute to use on the day of your wedding. The tote is $37 and the hoodie is a bit pricey at $85…
Michelle Roy’s affordable line of hair accessories and jewelry have been featured in dozens of magazines including the Spring 2005 issue of WeddingChannel.
Her hairclips come in many different colors and sizes and are a feminine and romantic adornment for your wedding hairstyle. You might even attach her dragonfly or butterfly pins onto your bouquet - the latest trend in wedding flowers.

After extensive research last night, I booked 2 one way tickets from New York to Oakland for a wedding Mr. Bee and I are attending July 4th weekend. The cost? $663.80.
(The price jumped up $120 in the 2 hours it took me to research and make a decision.) Luckily we were able to fly back for free on credits we’d accumulated.
People in their mid-twenties to mid-thirties live in a perpetual wedding season. Don’t get me wrong - of course I want to be there when my friends walk down the aisle and say “I do.” It’s a once in a lifetime event and I love weddings. But almost every wedding we’re attending this year requires out of state travel and now that we’re married, Mr. Bee and I attend every wedding together… which translates into $$$.
With airline tickets, hotels, car rentals, gifts, etc., Mr. Bee and I have already spent about $4300 on 3 weddings this year. With 2 more weddings and a bachelorette party to go, we’re looking at another $1800 for a yearly total of $6100! That’s a pretty significant chunk ‘o change (and I didn’t even buy a single new outfit
)!
What do you do when the cost of attending weddings becomes too high? Do you not attend and just send a gift? Find a way to go no matter what? I don’t know if we can *afford* to go to anymore out of state weddings this year… but I would still find a way no matter what.
I’ve heard of people being invited to and attending over 13 weddings in one year! Luckily Mr. Bee and I are pretty friendless.
How many weddings are you attending this year?
Dr Scholl’s For Her Open Shoe Insoles are super slim gel insoles designed to be worn with your open toe, high heeled, strappy shoes.

I’m actually a big fan of insoles - I wear them inside my boots and even some of my sneakers. Hopefully these babies can keep your feet comfy in your heels on the big day!
When I read stories like this, I feel so fortunate and appreciative that we can marry someone we love. ![]()
What are your music plans for your wedding day? I’m thinking a string quartet during the pre-ceremony and the ceremony, and then a DJ for the rest of the night.
I spoke with a DJ yesterday and was surprised to find out that it was a woman (slightly older). She had a great personality and a great voice, and her musical style is very flexible depending on what I want. It all sounds good, and the price seems OK. But I guess whenever I think “DJ,” I think a younger male. Am I the only one who thinks this way? Maybe it’s from all my clubbing days…
Although I liked her, I asked the company to set up another phone interview with a male DJ just so that I can get a feel for personalities.
So, what do you think about a female DJ?
I came across Satya Jewelry in this month’s In Style magazine and I had to feature them because they have super cute jewelry and they’re based in New York!
Their line of yoga-inspired jewelry is a favorite among Hollywood celebs. But prices are also very reasonable - wonderful for bridesmaids gifts. (Their Sun and Moon necklace is often worn/given as a friendship necklace.)
Satya Jewelry was voted as “Best Everyday Jewelry” in New York Magazine’s recent Best of New York issue. Plus a portion of all proceeds goes towards domestic and international childrens programs. Gotta love a business with a cause!
