The weather on Saturday basically sucked booty. Here’s a photo that I took while driving into Manhattan on our way to Queens.

Kum Gang San
I’ve eaten here twice and both times I thought the food was pretty good. In the back they have a reception room set up for private parties. Here are some photos taken in the changing rooms downstairs.
While waiting, Anna found a rack of hahn-boks and hats behind the folding screens. So what do you do when you have 2 psycho bitches and a few crazy hats?
I always crack up when I see the photo below of Korean Psycho Princess Leah, er I mean Anna. You look like a rabid bitch girl! Hahaha….I love these photos. I am going to show them to your offspring when they are bad so they have nightmares! Muhahaha!
The necklace I had on was a 30th anniversary gift from Mr. Ladybug’s dad to his mom. She whipped it out of her security deposit box for me to wear that night. It didn’t go with the dress but I was really touched that she wanted me to wear it. I felt like a gangsta and if I had a chinchilla fur coat it would have been perfect; but it seriously was a lotta bling. I was willing to do whatever she wanted since this was her night to shine in front of her friends.
The Ceremony / Reception
Here are the moms walking down again.
Here we are walking down the aisle.
Mr. Ladybug’s mom and I hugging.
My mom about to hug Mr. Ladybug.
The back of my momma’s head. So fluffy. Like brown clouds.
My reception dress.
Mr. Ladybug and I feeding each other cake.
Oh this part was lovely! They made us sing karaoke together. We sang a Korean song called Nuhreul Sahrang heh (Translation: I Love You)
My mom, Aung Grace, and Aunt Yung.
I’m trying to breathe on Aunt Yung and for some reason she was not down with it. In the last photo Aunt Grace and I are having a stare down while hugging. It looks like we’re lusting for each other but we really weren’t and then she started cracking up and spit on me while doing so, so she ruined that magical moment. Thanks eemoh. That was precious. I love my aunts!
Vaish and Carmelicious! One of my favorite couples.

Wedding cake - Do you see that long sword to the right of the cake? That’s our cake cutting knife. Uh huh. Yup. I was gonna ask for something bigger.
Ok so Kum Gan San calls me on Friday and asks me to email them a few photos and that they’re going to give us a gift. I thought maybe a slide show presentation or something. Boy was I wrong. Instead they blew up one of our photos to about a 5′x7′ banner and stuck it in the front of the room.
Someone suggested that we hang it above our bed. I suggested that we hang it outside our front window for all our neighbors to see. Of all the nice photos I sent they picked this one? Haha. My sister was making fun of it which is why when she gets married I’m hanging it up at her venue be the front door.
Ok so I’m at home sick today but not sick enough to have a little fun while staying indoors. Just so you have an idea of how BIG this banner is…
Move over biotch while I sit on your face. This is my man! You cold hun? I’ll hold you, just close your eyes and let’s just get some sleep. Shush now. Rock a bye baby on the tree top…
Note: My husband just came out of the bedroom so I showed him the last photo and he called me a loser. That’s why I’m sleeping with HIM and not you ya weenie.

You know why this woman looks so happy? It’s because she’s wearing jewelry from Satellite Paris.

Satellite is my favorite shop in NYC. It’s gorgeous; the pieces are gorgeous; the staff is nice; and best of all? It’s unexpectedly reasonably priced. They have a beautiful bridal collection — tiaras with pearls and whatnot! — but their everyday things are what I like best. When I had four bridesmaids, I was going to give each of them a piece of jewelry from Satellite. Now that I have one bridesmaid, I’m going to give her four pieces of jewelry from Satellite.

Earrings start at around $50; rings are a little less.

Mr. Ladybug brought home some of the left over flowers from our 2nd reception on Saturday so I decided to fool around with them a little and also took my bouquet apart as well. So purty.
I have a lot of cylinder vases left over and I know that some of you ladies were interested in buying my veil as well. I’ll be posting up a sale list of all the items I’m trying to get rid of as soon as I get all my shit together. Til then enjoy these lovely photos. ![]()
Oh and also before I forget, thank you EVERYONE for your warm wishes and just really sweet comments you guys have been leaving. I thank you all for the helpful advice and just being there for me anytime I had a question or just needed to vent.
I find it a huge compliment when I post an idea or something that I’m using and I see comments like “Thanks for the idea! I’m using it!” It encourages me to come up with more.
Love yas,
Ladybug

Hello everyone! I got back from Seattle at 6 am this morning, and I’m still a little tired from all the wedding festivities and because I trambiened (travelling while on ambien). I had a great time and the experience really opened my eyes as to how you can have a nice wedding on a budget. Lots of stories to come soon.
Meanwhile I’ll be at The Wedding Salon’s bridal event this evening with Miss Caterpillar. Do say hello if you see us! ![]()
I love McDonald’s. I know that’s supposed to be some sort of marker that tells society at large that I was born in a trailer or enjoy beer cozies or something. But, I do. I LOVE McDonald’s. Especially the Filet-O-Fish. With extra tartar sauce.
Mr. Caterpillar, however, detests McDonald’s. No distance is too far for Mr. Caterpillar to travel to avoid eating there. But today, my birthday, Kebab presented me with a McDonald’s gift card. With enough fundage to purchase SIX Filet-O-Fishes + assorted Chicken McNuggets and a cheeseburger. Now that’s love.

We had our 2nd reception at Kum Gang San last night. The food was pretty good even though I didn’t get to eat that much. Mr. Ladybug’s mom looked really happy. Of course I started to cry again. There was one point where she was speaking on the mic and she was telling me words of wisdom and to not fight and just to love each other, etc… Then she turned to Mr. Ladybug and said things like try to be more understanding and patient and blah blah blah but it was the way she was looking at him that made me start to cry. Stupid tears! Why don’t you stay in the back like I told you to! I would say the night was pretty successful considering the fact that his mom was smiling a lot.
Afterwards we went drinking with some of our friends and then called it a night at around 1.
Davida Salon - Located in Hoboken, NJ

Anyways, as I told you before I procrastinated and booked my hair and makeup on Friday. I know! Bad Ladybug! Bad! So Saturday was pouring and then Mr. Ladybug dropped me off for my 2pm appointment. Let me just say this place is AWESOME! Not only did they try to fit me in even though they were fully booked, when I walked in first thing I see is a guy drinking a bottle of beer. I get approached by Aida who’s holding a platter of chocolate covered pretzels. Then she comes around a 2nd time with a platter of chocolate covered strawberries, grapes, and cherries. They had a platter of assorted bagels and spreads and then asked if I wanted something to drink. The choices I was offered were beer, wine, tea, or coffee. ![]()
So I sit and wait a little while flipping through a magazine and eating my chocolate covered friends. Everyone there was so nice and not kiss-assey nice but truly nice. I came wearing a long sleeve t-shirt so Aida was worried that I would ruin my hair later after I got home to change so they let me borrow a long robe which I have to return later this week. After waiting a short while Nicole started me on my makeup. They use only Bed Head makeup, which I never used, but Nicole did a great job.
Afterwards I waited a little bit and Davida (duhveeda) did my hair. She’s the owner of the salon, her mother runs the front desk, and her brother is also one of the stylists. So since I went with most of my hair down for the wedding in Philly I decided to try an updo for this one. I loved it.
Bagels & cream cheese Chocolate covered fruit

Davida, Aida, and another stylist. (Damn I forgot her name)

My Makeup
It actually looks different later cause Nicole touched me up and changed my lipstick color and added false lashes. Photos of that to come later.
My Hair
It’s the same hair comb I used the week before only Davida put it in at a slant. I loved my updo!
For you ladies in Manhattan, I think it’s worth the trip to get on the Path and head to this Salon. I am DEFINITELY going to go back.
I love finding things I need by accident.
My mom and I went for a quick shopping trip in the town Rye, NY (visiting my sister and the kiddies). We were on the hunt for shoes, but walked away with some great jewelry from Liz Palacios.
My mom bought a necklace and earrings which will match her dress perfectly. I got these earrings; which is the only jewelry I plan to wear, although I may want to buy a broach to put in the knot of the sash of my dress.
The jewelry includes a mix semi-precious stones and Swarovski crystal and was reasonably priced from $42 (for my earrings) to just under $100.
Here I is walking out with my momma. She looked so cute in her purple hahn-bok.

Isn’t our venue beautiful? I thought it was pretty but these photos make it look immaculate!
Ok so here’s where the story gets funny…
While I was up in the bridal suite before the wedding, Mr. Ladybug runs in and goes, “Hun! You wanna kiss at the end of the ceremony?”
“I’d like to. I think it’d be cute.”
So my mofo went downstairs and told the minister that we wanted to smooch. At a traditional Korean wedding you just bow to each other and that’s it. At the end of the ceremony he told us to bow and then it was over! WTF man? Where’s my smooch?! So Mr. Ladybug looks all confused, I’m trying to play it cool and whispering to him that it’s ok, and I see his mom trying to make eye contact with the minister while tapping her mouth.
By then it was too late. You see above how we’re walking down the aisle in the photo above?! That’s because the ceremony ended. Lil Hannah insisted that she escort us down.
We go down the aisle, get to the end and start to turn left to go through the double doors (this was all practiced during rehearsal) then I hear the minister asking us to come back?! I turn around my entire bridal is not there, all our guests are still standing by their seats just looking back at us.
WTF? and hun why you be steppin on my dress yo? I love Mr. Ladybug’s face in this. It’s like “I’m sorry, Como say what?”
So Mr. Ladybug and I walk backwards ’til we hit the aisle and then l lean back to look down the aisle and I see the minister beckoning us to come back. What in tarnation is going on?!
We get to the front and then the minister mentions that we wanted to kiss and he forgot to put it in the ceremony.
COULD THERE HAVE BEEN ANY MORE PRESSURE HAD IT BEEN A NORMAL WEDDING KISS?!

Da Kiss
I actually like it that it got messed up. A nice cute flava added in. So now it’s really over!
Walking down the aisle part deux:
Watch out! Pimps and Ho’s comin down the aisle!
Katie Holmes, who has just given birth, is now preparing to fit into her wedding dress for her upcoming wedding!! And just how is this celebrity getting into shape?
Buff Brides, of course! Check out the article here!
As many of you readers know, I am using the Buff Brides system. My personal trainer Julian is the only licensed trainer in the NY area for the Buff Brides method. (You can also buy the book on Amazon.)
Beneficial Fitness, the gym that Julian owns, has already had Inside Edition come tape a segment, and Access Hollywood will be there on Monday. How exciting!!!
Clearly, I am obsessed with headpieces. Obsessed. Clearly. Why? I don’t know. I’m not even wearing one for my wedding (see previous post about complicated face for reasoning), yet I persist in looking at them.
I’m not sure how I stumbled upon these from Privilege. But the minute I saw them, I had to share them. They are absolutely the most over the top things I have ever seen. The weirdly translated page doesn’t offer a lot of information about them, but they seem to come from Gay Paree! Which automatically makes them classy. Or classy in the way the Venetian is classy in Las Vegas because all you have to compare it to is the Golden Nugget. That gold vaguely Greek one is my favorite. Maybe I’ll just buy it and wear it around the house. Mr. Caterpillar has seen weirder things.
I forgot to mention to you ladies that I actually have a 2nd reception (that’s right you heard me) tomorrow in Queens. This is the day for Mr. Ladybug’s mom to shine. This is her party for her friends.
For you ladies who are planning on doing a Korean style wedding I’ll give you a review of the place. I gotta wear my dress again but I’m also wearing a reception dress. The dress is um…well I cannot put it into words. I will show you instead. Then you can rip on me and point fingers and talk behind me back. I figure this day isn’t for me. I had my day so whatever his mom wants goes.
I also booked a last minute appointment for hair and makeup today at Davida Salon & Day Spa. I spoke with an Aida on the phone and even though they’re really booked tomorrow she was very accomodating and sooooooooo nice. So nice that if I were a lesbian and she were a lesbian, I would marry her and think up of some way to mother her babies.
Photos for that to come later as well. Let me know if anyone needs help. I have A LOT of time now.
Ciao Bellas for now…I have another busy day tomorrow.
