11am - Bellydancing class with my bridesmaid Michelle (Free! part of National Dance Week)
12noon - Fried free-range chicken and lemonade from Dirty Bird to Go
1pm - Tried on dresses with Michelle and Pon at Here Comes the Bridesmaid in the West Village
Here Comes the Bridesmaid organizes their dresses by designer (as opposed to Adrienne’s where they organize dresses by color of sample). Since we already had a “bridesmaid vision” in mind, we got right down to business and made our final picks!
Why are these “knee-length” dresses so looong on us?!
Above: 5′5” Asian girls without shoes, Below: Giant white women!
Pon: “Cool. I get my 15 minutes of internet fame, and I didn’t even have to take my clothes off!”
3pm - Shopping with Pon near Herald Square
5pm - Tribeca Film Festival with Mr. Ant at Loews 34th Street (”Love For Sale” and “The One Percent” were really great!)
8pm - BBQ chicken, okra gumbo, sweet tea, and sweet potato pie at Soul Fixin’s right across from the movie theatre
10pm - Watched the NBA playoffs with the mister at home
. . .
I love my fiance. I love my girls. I love soul food. And I
NY!
I went to a free belly dance class courtesy of National Dance Week also. I’d say the class was interesting and I definitely felt a difference the day after.
