Children’s Coloring Book

Mrs. Firefly, New York Age and Occupation in 06: 31, Attorney Fiance's Age and Occupation: 35, Finance Engagement Date: April 11, 2004 Wedding Date: June, 2006 Venue: Battery Gardens About Me: I was born in the city of Donetsk in the former Soviet Union (now the Ukraine) and grew up in Brooklyn. Many of my parent's friends are from Russia and the Ukraine as well. We want all of our guests to have a great time and hit the dance floor so we've hired a band that can play both Russian and American music; not to mention a mean rendition of the Gypsy Kings and chair-raising hora!

We’ll be having at least four kids under the age of 5 at the wedding. To keep the kids busy and (hopefully) out of trouble, I plan to buy a bunch of books from Manhattan street vendors. I’ve also designed a personalized coloring book using templates from this great site.

What a fantastic idea Miss Firefly! If you have space, you can have a table dedicated to children (you don’t need to purchase the table, just borrow one from one of the mothers and place a table cloth and tie some balloons, flowers on their little chairs) and have some coloring books, books, toys, activities (puzzles, lego…), games, snacks… the kids will be very entertained (and the parents will be very thankful)! I know my son loves to socialize with his little buddies =P and you can seat the parents near the children in case they get fussy. Make sure you make them name tags and contact info just in case of emergency. Kids definitely bring joy to the wedding! Good luck!

What a great link!! thank you so much! kids aren’t invited per se, but we will have a few coming from my extended family and I wanted to make them coloring books, but with a South Asian bride/groom… and now I know how to do it! THANKS!!
