Berkshire Berries raises bees on the rooftops of buildings right here in Manhattan and sells their “New York City Rooftop Beelicious Honey” at the Union Square green market. Bees supposedly thrive in the city and the honey they produce has a distinct flowery flavor. In taste tests, people prefer the New York honey over the Berkshire honey the company also sells.

We gave honey as favors for our wedding since my name is Bee after all. But New York honey would have been even better! An added bonus - eating locally grown honey can help allergy sufferers!
