I couldn’t sleep last Friday so I happened to catch Monster-in-Law on tv.

It was panned by the critics but the measure of a good chick flick is not critical acclaim. I actually thought it was pretty darn funny - there were definitely some laugh out loud scenes. Jane Fonda and Wanda Sykes were great! J. Lo - I’m not a fan. I don’t think she’s a good actress and hasn’t she played this same character in like a million other movies?

Netflix it when you’re in the chick flick mood or catch it on cable - it was good enough to keep me entertained when I had insomnia, not good enough to want to pay to rent.
