Ladies Who Launch is a fabulous nationwide organization that helps female entrepreneurs start and/or expand their creative, personal, and business endeavors. New members usually begin by attending an incubator - a workshop designed to help expand and clarify your goals, and get you moving towards them.
When Erica first told me about Ladies Who Launch a couple of months ago, I was immediately interested. But it took me awhile to sign up because it’s difficult for me to be in the spotlight, speak publicly, or even meet with people. Sure I’m comfortable blogging away in my little one bedroom apartment, but I have to get out there and market weddingbee if I want it to grow to the level I envision. I finally joined Ladies Who Launch because I wanted to make myself talk about weddingbee, get used to it, and get good at it.
Tonight I attended the first of four incubator meetings. I was pretty nervous and even said “nationery” when I was trying to say “national stationery.” I hope no one noticed - I felt like I was the only one there who was so anxious.
I have so many ideas for weddingbee, and sometimes (often) it’s challenging to get things moving with limited resources. I think Ladies Who Launch will be a great opportunity to share ideas and get feedback, network with like-minded female entrepreneurs, and maybe I’ll even be able to help some of the other ladies. It’s definitely going to be an interesting and helpful learning experience.
On a closing note, I’ve decided to share more “behind the scenes” information about weddingbee - what goes into running the site, growing the site, challenges, the development of new features, etc. So please feel free to give us feedback - we love to hear it. ![]()
Aw, Bee. You’re doing a great job! Okay, I may be biased.. but I suspect that hundreds, if not thousands, of other women agree with me!
