Big news in the wedding world today - the Knot is buying the Wedding Channel for $57.9 million in cash and 1.15 million in common shares!
Meanwhile Condenet recently combined their three magazine titles (Brides, Modern Brides, Elegant Bride) into one website at Brides.com to compete with the Knot.
There are only a few big players in the wedding world now. Hopefully weddingbee will become one of them!

I miss modernbrides website, that had become brides. If you google articles it just redirects you to the homepage. They didn’t bother to archive any of the articles on modern bride.
I really hope the Knot keeps some of the better features of the Wedding Channel. WC’s free webpage beat the Knot’s hands down (except for looks, but I’d rather my guests knew hotel options and get maps than ooh and awe over a beautiful page with no information!).
