Invitation Hell

Last night, I sat down with Mr. Butterfly and wrote up a list of things we still have left to do for the wedding. The list took up the whole page in 2 columns. I actually started freaking out. Especially when I started checking off things that Mr. Butterfly could do - and realized that he could only be “in charge” of 5 things, while I had 35 or 40 different things to do. Of course he will help me put together a lot of things (DIY projects), but the designing, researching and ordering will be my responsibility. Why? Because I’m anal that way, and I want everything done just right. What bride isn’t this way?

Anyhoo, since I am starting to panic a bit about how much time we have left, I felt that I needed to get started on something - that something is invitations because I think that takes the most work. So I started going through some of the knottie bios from Ms. Dragonfly’s blogs and found a website called RemoteAssistance.

It’s a home-based business, but their website seems pretty easy to use. You pick an invitation style, pick the card stock in different colors and sizes, then send it off to get printed somewhere else, assemble and voila~! You have your invitations!!

I’m using a similar style as this knottie featured on weddingbee this week!

It won’t be exactly like this - I’m getting different sizes, colors and inserts, but the basic idea is the same.

And to help me choose the exact color so that I can match it to my flowers when I meet with my florist next week, I ordered their sample packs which include color swatches and paper samples.

I finally feel like I’m making some progress now. Invitation Hell : wedding new york Pleased
