I am from Fort Leonard Wood Missouri where I went to High School. I was born in Columbia. I’m an army brat so we moved around a lot but I consider Missouri my home state.

It is after midnight and I am sitting here typing an agenda for tomorrows pep assembly. Bobby Flay’s Throwdown program just came on and he said he was challenging Michelle Doll… I thought, we had a Michelle Doll, then I looked up and it was you! How exciting to see you on TV and it looks like you are quite the success. Your cakes are beautiful. Are you married, do you have children, when did you finish your culllinary training?
Well, you are doing a fantastic job on TV and look wonderful. Do you remember your first pep assembly when you sat on the stage, I think you have come out of you shell in front of a crowd:-)

Oh my gosh, I’m so happy to hear from you. Sorry I haven’t written sooner, life has been pretty crazy lately. I’m the head chef at a bakery that just opened so I haven’t gotten to sit in front of the computer much.
I am married (3 years now) and don’t yet have kids. I’ve lived in New York for 12 years now. I changed from a graphic design/project managment career about 4 years ago and went to culinary school. I finally like what I do which is a great change of pace. Thanks so much for your note and I hope this finds you well! You must be in the thick of football season. Go Tigers!

I’ve seen you on tv, even the cake challenge I believe, anyway, I’m writting you because I’m starting my own little business, yeah It’s been pretty good I’ve been doing some real pretty cakes, not only are they good to look at they are good to eat, I have not been to school for this but I sure have been blessed. wondering if you could give me some pointers, Your cakes are very pretty. I only could do one of a kind ha,ha, but thats ok. I practice alot, I’m good at what I do they love my cakes at church, I’m an aries so I believe I can do anything, I’m a Grandma of six, I’m 53yrs, You are GOOD wondering if you could help a SISTER[smile]
The cake is excellent. It’s definitely one of the best pound cakes I’ve had. It was very good warm last night (my husband loved the smell so much he couldn’t wait to taste, and he NEVER does that) and is just as good today. And I think that if there are leftovers, I may try to replicate an outstanding chocolate bread pudding we had in Vail last week (served with crunchy macadamia nut ice cream).
