I thought the premise behind these buttons from Make’m Mingle was fun - get guests who don’t know each other to mingle by giving them an icebreaker. They have one for all your wedding guests.

But I don’t think I’d want to see these buttons in every wedding picture on our guests’ fancy duds. What do you think? Cheesy or fun?

Fun! I love the idea. Martha Stewart featured a couple who made a bunch of unique buttons for their guests and tacked them onto the seating cards. I thought they were adorable, but you make a good point about the photos….

I like the idea of seating cards… but not as buttons to wear. That’s too… company ice-breaker-ish.

I went to a party for out-of-town guests the night before a wedding (the after rehearsal dinner was very small), and the hosts had printed up name tags for everyone with labels. Most were pretty easy to figure out - FOB (friend of bride), FOG (friend of groom), FOMOB (friend of mother of bride), FOPOG (friend of parents of groom). Some people had special additions, and trying to figure them out definitely was a conversation starter. One lady had WWPOBOH - went with parents of bride on honeymoon. We thought it was a great idea.

some of the ideas are cute, like explaining how the person knows the bride/groom. but the “single” button… ouch.

i agree.. maybe not for the wedding day.. but definately can be fun for the wedding rehersal dinner or for a dinner before if you are having a destination wedding or a weekend wedding.

Oh, I think these are fab! Def more appropriate for a rehearsal dinner, I think (or even an engagment party)…but I love the idea of everyone getting a funny button!

my cousin’s fiance had a “bride to be” pin for the engagement dinner.. so i thought that was kinda cute.. not for the wedding itself but maybe the rehearsal dinner or the engagement party?
