Mexican Riviera

June 20th, 2006 @ 7:14 pm by Mrs. Bee

The Maroma Resort and Spa in the Mexican Riviera has long been considered one of the most romantic honeymoon spots in the world. It combines luxury and romance at a price that won’t break the bank - rooms start at $350 a night. With the Mayan ruins, lush jungles, gorgeous beaches, and top rate spa services, there’s a little something for everyone.

i almost stayed here last May but stayed at a nearby boutique resort instead. my travel agent/cousin has been though and says the beach is absolutely amazing. the thing about the sand on the Mayan Riviera beaches– it does not get hot! no matter how gorgeous the weather, the white sand stays cool.

It does look gorgeous but you think that $350/nt. isn’t “breaking the bank”? Wish I was in your shoes! :D

Compared to many other similar *luxury* resorts which will cost you $600 or up a night, i think $350 is honestly quite nicely priced.

my good friend stayed at maroma for her honeymoon and said it was incredible. her husband saw it featured on the Travel Channel. they did the Maya Temazcal ritual and it sounds amazing…i’d love to go there sometime with my hubby. ahh! so many anniversary destinations to plan! :)
