We use a program called Akismet to filter out spam comments from weddingbee, otherwise we’d get hundreds of spam each day!

Any comments that have links in them are usually held in moderation until we manually approve them, because most spam comments contain links. But recently readers have notified us that even comments without links have not been posting. We investigated a bit and found out that some comments have been bypassing moderation and going straight to the spam box. Our spam filter has become quite aggressive!

If your comment doesn’t go through immediately after you post it, please email us at tips@weddingbee.com and we’ll clear it from the spam folder. Meanwhile we’re working on a fix to make sure only spam is marked as spam.
