I know I’ve told you often enough about the crazy-madness bridesmaid’s dress I was forced to wear at my friend’s wedding — the hip high slit, the ruching covering the front and the back so it looked like I had more than one butt, the stabby boning in the bodice — yes, I know you’ve heard it all before. But, did I tell you about the makeup person? That she used the same foundation on all 7 of us? Even though we were all of different ethnicities? My face did not match my body at that wedding. Really, no one’s face matched her body — it was like some sort of avant garde performance art thing.
In any case, this was not going to happen on my watch, at my wedding. And, I’m not going to let it happen at yours. Go see Tony at the T. Le Clerc counter at Barneys on Madison. He does amazingly natural makeup — very carefully matching one of the billion T. Le Clerc powder colors to your actual face. And he’s really nice. We’ve decided we’re best friends. And, he has no idea I’m telling all of weddingbee to go see him, but . . . he’ll deal.
