About Mrs. Bee

Imperfectly Perfect

June 30th, 2006 @ 11:47 am by Mrs. Bee

So many things went wrong on our wedding day (like my parents getting stuck in the elevator for an hour and a half at the end of the night, and the fire department coming to rescue them). But of course we look back now, and the things that went wrong are actually some of the best memories. Despite it all, it really was one of the best and happiest days of my entire life.

I like justabride’s honest reviews of her big day and how she kept everything in perspective:

So many things that went wrong leading up to the wedding. So many things that didn’t go as planned on the day. It was far from a perfect wedding and so many moments were a complete blur. But it didn’t matter because I had so much fun.. and I finally was able to exchange vows with the man I love.

Not everything will go according to plan (you can count on that!). But take a deep breath, don’t forget what the day is all about, don’t obsess over all the little details, and most importantly enjoy yourself. The day goes by so fast. Remember you’re marrying the one you love and no matter what… it will be wonderful. :)

Totally agree. Actually that was what I told my best friend too because the days leading up to her wedding she was getting more and more stressed out (almost neurotic). But on the actual day she handled the day so well even though many little things did go wrong. But who cares! Nothing is perfect and a wedding is about you and the person you love are making a lifetime commitment together, that’s what counts.
