Crazy Shoe Secret

July 5th, 2006 @ 6:34 pm by Mrs. Caterpillar

I’m currently attempting to break in my wedding shoes without actually wearing them outside — especially important since it has been monsooning on and off this week.

I do this with all my shoes, and only now has it hit me that it looks really really weird. I usually put on a pair or two of extremely thick socks, then stuff my feet into the shoes and walk around the house doing chores. It is . . . unattractive. However, it does put pressure in all the right places to make everything fit the way it should.

Try it; I swear it works.

Moisturizing your feet the night before with intensive lotion also helps prevent blisters with new shoes!

hmmm…if shoes need breaking in then i just don’t buy or wear them. ..except one pair of shoes that I have to re-aquoint my feet with every summer and I get blisters every time….even though i’ve had them for years. the shoes aren’t the problem. My feet are just soft in the places the shoes hit. And I don’t think i could wear socks ith them at all. oh well.

I do that too! I was wearing my new shoes when my fiance came over, and he thought I was just crazy: athletic shorts, tshirt, and hott white heels while vaccuuming!

I broke mine in at work, where it’s all carpet. Once I told them what I was doing, they didn’t look at me so strangely for wearing sparkly silver shoes with a sweatshirt and jeans. :)
