About Mrs. Butterfly

I guess when I put Mr. Butterfly in charge of the honeymoon, I should have expected multiple scenarios. Now that I’ve told the entire world we were going to Miami for a few days, then off to Grand Cayman Islands for the rest of the week, Mr. Butterfly thinks we should change the plan.

Don’t get me wrong - I like the new plan. I just wish I hadn’t told everyone first. Oh well. :)

So where are we going now, you ask?

We want to spend a few days in San Juan, Puerto Rico ‘cuz I loved PR and we get to gamble! But only for a few days, because I could potentially become a gambling addict. We would be staying at the Ritz Carlton San Juan.

Then we would fly off to Anguilla for another 4 nights. Now, here is the dilemma - do we stay at the CuisinArt resort or the Cap Juluca resort? My bosses have been to Cap Juluca, and I know they love it there so I’m leaning towards it. Has anyone been to CuisinArt in Anguilla?

This is CuisinArt:

Where should we stay?

I love the Aimee from the Bridalblog’s description of CuisinArt: http://thebridalblog.observer.com/2006/05/oh-anguilla-you-make-me-feela-so-happy-from-ode-to-anguilla.html

But Cap Juluca looks incredible! You have a tough decision to make.

I have stayed at CuisinArt and amazing -very relaxing and quiet. I went to visit Cap Jaluca - the restaurant there is fantastic - a must on Anguilla.
I know Cap Jaluca is the more popular hotel - but either one is an excellent pick!

they both look amazing! i haven’t been to either, but judging from the pictures you posted, i’d pick cap juluca. the rooms have such gorgeous views!

we’ll be heading to fiji for our honeymoon — haven’t decided where to stay, but i think i am more excited about planning the honeymoon than the actual wedding. :)

I have stayed at both cuisinart and cap juluca. I liked Cap Juluca better. The rooms are a little more private, and the beach is private, too. I also found that the service at Cap Juluca was better. Some of the employees at CuisinArt were actually rude. Finally, the food at Cap Juluca (I thought) was much better than CuisinArt. BUT…. The pool is a bit nicer at CuisinArt, and if you’re into activities (ie- cooking classes), CuisinArt probably has more to offer. The spa at CuisinArt is also really nice (but expensive!). Hope this helps!

i’m having similar honeymoon-deciding dilemmas myself. these two resorts are both on my list of 17 (!) Caribbean or Mexican destinations…
