In today’s beehive, Andrea would like suggestions for jewelry boxes.

Please feel free to add your question to the beehive! :)

i use a ring holder, by Waterford (http://www.waterford.com/shop/product.asp?sku=2983&cat=C) for my rings, so they’re easy to grab and go on my way out… i don’t yet own a great jewelry box, but saw some nice ones on the Pottery Barn web site.

if you’re looking for boxes to store jewelry in, the options are endless. my mom stores her earrings in a ferrero rocher box. haha. if you want to give jewelry as gifts, i gave my friends earrings as gifts last year, and i put them in these origami boxes, that i made with construction paper. i wrote a note on the inside before i folded the boxes, and added a string for them to pull open the box. hope that helps! :)

i agree that pottery barn has some nice ones. the container store also has nice jewelry organizers that can be hidden in your drawers. also, if you are planning to hide your jewels in your drawers anyways, clear plastic egg cartons can come in very handy (not to mention inexpensive).

The Bombay Company also has very nice jewelry boxes of all shapes and sizes. I got mine there last year.

RedEnvelope.com is my favorite! They have boxes so cute that you could give them to your briday party too!

Bees - do you have any recommendations on where I can get reasonably priced brooches? I’d like to buy three - one for me to wear and one to give to each of my grandmothers. I’ve looked on-line and they all look really cheap or are SUPER expensive. Any recommendations?

Belive it or not, but http://www.HSN.com has some decent brooches at good prices. Just put in brooch into the search field and you can see all of the brooches hsn has to offer.

I ordered this one to put in the center of the sash bow, but decided to not wear it (everyone thought it looked better plain) and then, well, lost it (I was going to give it to my grandma). http://tinyurl.com/mg5fv

RJ Graziano “Grand Illusions” Crystal and Simulated Pearl Brooch - Item: 560-855 if the link doesn’t work.

I’ve also heard of girls buying brooches at http://www.whiteaisle.com
