Knottie Bios of the Week

July 18th, 2006 @ 8:57 pm by Mrs. Bee

One of the most popular features at weddingbee is the Knottie Bios of the Week. We’ve been considering posting them throughout the week instead of on every Wednesday, so you can get your Knottie Bio fix more than once a week. (Don’t worry, we’ll have a regular post tomorrow.)

How should we post the Knottie Bios?

Honestly bios are the best part of The Knot in my opinion If you look at the forum postings a lot of it (at least on local boards) is just chat. I think forums are a great way to make friends of course but the real gem on The Knot is being able to look at other girl’s ideas. Bios are a wonderful tool to any person planning a wedding

I am a self-proclaimed bio addict, so more is always better to me. I would perhaps suggest that if it’s done more often it’s only 1 or 2 at a time though, so as not to burn through all the great bios too fast.

I’m for more bios, although my work productivity will drop drastically!

i think as long as the bios are “different” this would be very helpful. a lot of bios/weddings are so cookie cutter and so similar to the weddings we all attend (you know what i mean ladies) that it wouldn’t be worth it if it’s another one of *those* weddings.. i would love more bios~ as long as they offer somehing unique.

Can you please also have a category for the Knottie bios? I don’t always have time to go through them when you post them, and often find it hard to locate the posts again.

Love your site by the way. I have been reading for a wee while now. I’m from London and it’s fun seeing how NY weddings take shape!

Hi stressqueen,

we’re going to switch from categories to tags soon so that should make things easier. You can also just click Miss Dragonfly’s name because the only posts she writes are knottie bios, or you can do a search for knottie bios.

hope this helps!
