Poor Miss Spider

It’s kind of become a running joke that Miss Spider doesn’t have a character. Mrs. Ladybug and Miss Spider even challenged each other to a spider drawing contest to see who could come up with the better looking spider. But Miss Spider knows that I love her. 
So what’s going on with Miss Spider’s character???
Our artist created many, many drafts and had the hardest time making the spider “cute,” and within the same style of the other characters. At one point, I even asked Miss Spider if she wanted to switch characters to which she replied,
“NOOOOOOOOOO, i wanna be miss SPIDER~!”
So this is the latest rendition. What do you think?

i’m swamped at work but i had to comment:
i just scared the bejesus out of the secretary who sits outside my office because i kept erupting into uncontrollable laughter from these comments hahahaha.
i too thought the chubster spider was wearing a hat hahaha. i asked for a chubby spider but this one reminds me of mr. spider’s dauschund who is so fat her legs are barely planted on the ground haha.
and to mitsuki - LOL droplet of poop HAHAHA omg i’m tearing that is so funny. i said lump of lard but droplet of poop is soo much better hahahahaha.
and concussion eyes?!?!? hahaha brilliant.

Its cute in an odd way I think the fact that its so fat is kind of throwing me off a bit Im assuming the black thing is its head I dont know how to correct it any better but something is off if you ask me (besides the 8 leg thing)
I always sort of imagined somethng along the lines of the spider character in the movie A Bug’s Life. Anyone know what I’m talking about?

I think giving the spider a face would look wrong because all the other “bees” don’t have faces with their characters. I think the body of the spider is too big. The legs should be longer/bigger than the body right?
it reminds me of a chips ahoy cookie with whiskers. or as much of the ladies have indicated, a pile of poop.
it does look like dry up turd especially w/ the black top.

I think it’s cute in a weird way. It doesn’t seem to have much life to it though. I like the eyelashes suggestion. What about something a little similar to Mrs. Bee’s? Miss Spider could be in a heart shaped web perhaps?

i remember one time i came on weddingbee and there was ACTUALLY an icon attached to Ms. Spider. Must’ve caught you during a trial run because it was taken off shortly after. It looked something like this (my re-creation)

I think I’d like the second one, without the beret. I also don’t like the nose. Spiders don’t have noses! Do they? But honestly, second one, no hat, no nose. 8 legs. Perfecto!!
I also wanted to add, make the legs a little less “five year old with a crayon” hair looking. I kinda like when they are a bit jointed looking.
I like the last one. I think the chubby poo with 6 legs is too abstract : )

I think the only way to make a spider cute is… to make it small, and in a proper environment~
Maybe if she’s smaller, more shapely (but still chubby like Miss Spider wants it), and is hanging from a string…???

the latest one is creepy. actually, all of them sorta give me the heeby jeebies. who would’ve thought it would be so hard to make a spider cute? i actually liked her own rendition a while back even tho it had the wrong number of legs. hehe

mrs. bee and i thought the previous drawings were not the same style as the other bugs so i’m glad the artist added the shading to the new blobbie spider but still not quite there?

some of these comments are hilarious!!! first one, it doesn’t resemble a spider. second one is too boring. third is the same as second, but with some hat on.
Since we’re talking about characters, I would like to say something about Miss Grasshopper’s! The last thing I want to do is insult the artist, but… that thing is creepy .___.
the first one matches more with the rest of the bugs, but miss spider’s character still needs work. maybe adding 2 more legs, taking out the moles, and sliming down the spider. this bug has turned out to be a challenge, because it is difficut to make a spider cute. good luck to the artist.
i think it’s cute! after i was able to figure out what those black dots are. i like the chubby spidie. the others are right, maybe lashes for the eyes so it will be a little more obvious

Oh I can kinda see the eyes and the hat thing on the latest rendition now I swore I thought that black thing was its head but now i see what you all were saying too Now that i can tell it does look a little cuter in my mind But the legs look like they are coming out of its face
