While there were a handful of you who found the Miss Spider character to be cute, the vast majority of you expressed the following sentiments: “droplet of poo with legs…obese and shapeless…looks drunk…boobs with moles and hair coming out of the side… chips a hoy cookie with whiskers…” and more.

Miss Spider was thoroughly amused with all your colorful descriptions, and the more you bashed her little 6-legged arachnid, the more the little bugger grew on her. In fact, I think your hilarious comments probably made not having a character worthwhile for her. You know, I think the spider grows on you - it’s kinda cute, no?

Several of you suggested that we hold a Miss Spider drawing contest, and Miss Spider loved the idea, so we will! Woohoo!

Please submit your cute Miss Spider illustrations to bee@weddingbee.com. All entries are due by 11:59 pm, August 3rd. We’ll post all the entries on Friday, August 4th and you can vote for your favorite. But Miss Spider herself will have the final say as to the winner. The only rule is to keep the drawing within a similar style to the existing bugs.

Since we decided to hold this contest on a whim, we still have to assemble the gift bag the winner of the contest will receive. The contents will be announced next week and I promise it’ll be awesome.
