My brother-in-law has updated our search feature, so results now show abridged results and bolded search terms. Before search would pull up entire posts that contained the term you were looking for, and you’d have to scroll through them.

For example, when I type in “invitation,” this is how a search result appears:

This is a much more efficient and google-esque way to find exactly what you’re looking for. I use search myself everyday, so I love the changes. Please let us know what you think!

cathy, you can click on the comments link or the little icon that looks like a paper clip to see the entire post.

I like the update, but tend to think a linked headline may be an easier way to read the entire post. Just my preference though! I am a lazy user.

I know this is an older post, but I just realized something about the search function: it only displays one or two posts at a time, which requires lots of clicking to go back and search for an entry. Seeing as the search displays abridged versions of the posts, could a few more posts be displayed per page to allow readers to scan for content quickly?

Or maybe I am I giving too much functionality feedback… I’m sorry. I am just a nerd about ui stuff I still think the site is awesome!

Actually this only happens on certain searches like “jcrew” or “flowers” where as “bridesmaid” results in many posts on one page.
