2+2=100?

July 28th, 2006 @ 10:13 am by Mrs. Caterpillar

I addressed 158 labels yesterday!

2+2=100? : wedding new york Labels labels.jpg

Unfortunately, we have only 100 invitations.

Ooh. That’s bad.

So, now I’m scrambling to make an extra 58 invitations.

I need them done by today. These are my options; what do you think I should do?

1. Hand draw a design, then scan it and print it out on my laser printer — punk rock style.

2. Hand write 58 individual cards.

3. Make color copies of the poster, and send that.

4. Decide to elope, and forget this whole invitation thing.

Elope! .. Isn’t it so tempting? We were so overwhelmed with invitations at one point that we gave up and were ready to just email jpegs of our mockup. So sad.

Anyway, my real answer? COLOR COPIES! Your rock posters are way too awesome- any alternative would be far behind. Color copies will take less time as well. I mean, all the work is already done, right? Plus, your invites are sure to make a buzz, and the 58 guests who don’t get your rock poster might feel disappointed!

I think your invites are so unique, that people who don’t get them will think they’ve been b-listed.

I would get quality cover stock paper and make color copies — no one will compare the quality of the invites…

Another vote for color copies–as long as you get them done on high-quality cardstock–maybe even some with a sheen–no one will know the difference!

What about scanning in the invite and printing it in color? I think color copies would also be fine, but you’d probably get copies that were more true to life with a scan.

definitely color copies - maybe you can do a glossy photo paper to make it look extra fancy.

I agree with everyone either elope or get color copies, if your invites were less rockin’ (both literally and figuratively) you might get away with hand written notes or something but these invites people will totally be talking about.

Eloping is so tantalizingly tempting. But since you have The Bestest Invite Ever, it’d be a shame if you eloped. I also vote for color copies. Get nice heavy stock paper and go to Kinko’s to have them duplicate it as close as possible to the original. Like other people mentioned, it’d be a shame to do anything less for the guests who won’t be getting the originals. Get going! :)
