Open Question: Wedding Albums

July 31st, 2006 @ 9:51 am by Mrs. Bee

Dear Weddingbee,

I love the coffee table book albums and I’m proficient with photoshop enough to design my own pages, however, I’m looking for a vendor that would allow us to just upload the designs. I’ve heard of mypublisher and other sites similar to that, but I’m looking for similar type albums that you can only get through professional photographers. Unfortunately some of the websites I found only sell to pro photographers. Any websites we should be looking at?

Thanks,
Christina (Dallas, TX)

Hi Christina!

Check out Mac and Cheese Design - http://www.macandcheesedesign.com/. I’ve seen their work in person - all they do is create albums - and it’s professional photographer quality coffee table books. I know they usually do the design of the book, but maybe you can contact them about using your design instead? Hope this helps…

Check out Apple’s amazingly reasonable iLife offer: http://www.apple.com/ilife/iphoto/features/books.html

My boss ordered one from there for his trip to Spain. It’s really nice.

I’ve also heard great things about Asuka Books, but they might be one of those companies that only sell to professional photographers.

I don’t know if this is completely against the rules, but I design coffee-table style books too. I currently work with Zookbinders for the flushmount style albums. Just FYI.
