Miss Ant and I will be volunteering at the Brides Against Breast Cancer charity wedding gown sale on Thursday, August 17th. It’s a great event with proceeds allowing Making Memories to grant wishes of terminal breast cancer patients. If you’re interested in volunteering, people are needed for the following times:

• Thursday, 8/17/06, 3pm to 9:30pm (VIP Event)
• Friday, 8/18/06, 9am to 3pm
• Friday, 8/18/06, 3pm to 9pm
• Saturday, 8/19/06, 8am to 2pm
• Saturday, 8/19/06, 2pm to 8pm

Volunteers will help out with overall logistics, registration check-in, dress donations, assist brides with dresses, hold dresses for brides, payment, as well as preparation in the weeks leading up to the event and clean-up after the event. You don’t have to be available for all days and times, so let them know which days/events you’re interested in.

This is the first event Brides Against Breast Cancer has held in New York, and they’re hoping that it’s a smash success. If you haven’t purchased your dress yet, come check out the huge selection of designer dresses they’ll have available - you just might find the dress of your dreams at a fraction of the cost.
