Thank you for all your feedback. Everyone is absolutely right, $400 for a rental gown is just absurd. A special shout out to the commenter who figured out that the name of the Maggie Sottero dress I liked is Julie. I couldn’t find the name online.

A quick search on ebay turned up several brand new dresses for less than $400. I just called my mom and told her to tell Carol to put my $100 deposit towards the Kwan Quas instead. Hopefully she’ll comply and not force me to storm her studio and cry bloody murder (which is not beyond me to do).

Now I would like to make an open plea for a gown. Does anyone have anything in a size O-2 / 5′2″ lying around for me to borrow/buy/rent?

I would have lent you my gown but it’s in la at my parent’s house and you’re so tiny! It would have been too big on you. =(

OMG my dress is a maggie sottero dress as well! i live in australia and mine cost 1,300 i know you might find that extreme but in australia if you want a Good dress you’re looking at 1000+ also its being made in asia so its cheaper if i had it made in australia it would be 5000.
