Bridesmaid Dresses

August 3rd, 2006 @ 1:43 pm by Mrs. Orchid

While looking through some sites for bridesmaid dresses, I found some beautiful dresses by Watters & Watters. I really love the vibrant colors and how flirty and sexy they look. I want my girls to be looking hot!!~ Another thing I like about these dresses are that they are made of dupioni silk, the same fabric/texture that my wedding gown will be in. The dresses are also not overly fancy, so that they can choose to wear it on another occasion.

My sister who is my MOH will be wearing the Midori Green, while the other 4 girls will wear either the Spice colored one (perhaps with a green sash instead of the pink that they have shown)

These are my 2 favorites of the dresses they have in dupioni silk, but they have many more that are available in these colors. So I will have the girls choose their dress of choice (with my approval of course) and they have have different style dresses with the same color. :)

I got quotes for these dresses on http://www.netbride.com/ for a fraction of what it would cost in boutiques. Are any of you familiar with this website? As with every smart bride, price is always taken into consideration.

Ann Taylor also has some pretty dresses from her Celebrations collection that are on sale now for around $100.

very pretty! i’ve seen a lot of people use netbride.com
For mine, i had them order from houseofbrides.com and was very happy with them. So check their price too.

Additionally - RK Bridal will beat any price by 5% if you do a mail order from them (no frills=no alterations through them).

I’m also a happy customer of Netbride. :o) My girls’ Bill Levkoff dresses came a month earlier than the promised ship date, and I got a fantastic deal on them!

Beautiful flowers. Orange & pink were the colors for my wedding last year. Dahlias, daisies, peonies, hydrangeas. My maid of honor wore a raspberry strapless dress from Ann Taylor. Ann Taylor has decent dresses that often go on sale dirt cheap after a couple months.

I used Chrissy O Bridal for our bridesmaid dresses (www.chrissyobridal.com) — their website may not look like much, but their customer service was amazing, and they’ve got a 6% guarantee (will beat any other offer by 6%). Definitely check them out!

I ordered through RK Bridal, using the netbride price. RK will give 5% less than any competitor’s lowest price, if it’s lower than their RK price.

I am actually still on the search for bm dresses. But, the only stipulation I have requested of my bms is that they find a deep red wine-ish colored dress. They don’t have to exactly match each other. Call me nuts, but I’d like each of my bms to stand out on their own. But you know, I guess we’ll see how it works out!

I’ve gotten so many great hints here for designers and jewelry. I think I’m on here all the time everyday now.

I love the burnt orange color myself! I am getting married Nov. ‘10..my colors are red and burnt orange..but finding burnt orange dresses (and vests for the groomsmen) has so far been a nightmare! I saw plenty of websites where you can order the gown, the only issue is that you don’t get it or see it until it arrives. What reputable companies can anyone recommend? Has anyone heard of: thecustomdress.com ?

Amber, I was wondering about that site also. It seems too good to be true. I’m not sure they could even get the fabric for what they are charging. Also, I did a whois on the domain, it has only been around since June of this year and they have the registrant information set private. Most reputable businesses do not do that.

In the off chance they are legitimate, I emailed asking for actual photos of dresses they made as well as references. I don’t really expect to receive a reply, but I will let you know if I do. :)
