Hello,

I am getting married at the Rockhouse Hotel in Jamaica (same as Miss Ant). My question is… Have any of you ever heard of Chryscross Bridal? She is an online store who mostly does designer replicas. I have been trying to find out if it is reputable and if anyone has actually seen or worn a dress that she has created. I am specifically interested in her Melissa Sweet “Lia” replica. I fell in love with the Lia when I first got engaged in October. But, there is no way that I can spend that kind of money on a dress. Any help?

Hey Kate,

I checked out photos of the Lia on their website. It looks like they did a good job! But it’s best to be absolutely certain that they’ll do a great job on *your* dress, esp since their policy doesn’t allow returns.

Why don’t you ask the company for references from real brides? Other brides who have purchased the Lia replica from them? Recent brides with similar replicas? Ask for photos and closeups from both the company and real brides to check out the quality of the seams, etc. If the company is interested in your business, I hope that they would try to accomodate your requests!

I’m not familiar with that particular vendor, but have you checked out http://www.juliusbridal.com? The site does not indicate it, but they do custom gowns. The great thing about them is that you can send it back until they get it right. They also do silk.

I recommend checking out the jbdressbio on the knot to get some examples of their work. HTH!

Oh wow! I’ve been browsing Chryscross bridal for the past week or so, and when I saw Lia (the first one I saw) I flipped! I don’t have any help, but am in as much with this dress as you are. It’s gorgeous. If anyone knows of more replica designers I’d love to hear about it. Good luck with your dress!

i saw your posting and asked chrycross for a quote for my dream dress — and they came back with UNBELIEVABLE photos and an amazing quote — $2,700 less. it looks identical, and they assured me that the fabrics would be identical as well.

i have some time, so i will keep looking, but i am definitely going to keep this in my back pocket and will let you know if i decide to go with them.

The third is the site of the lady that actually makes the dress (prices not in US dollars)
The last is another company that does the replicas but uses the same lady to make the dress.
I have been chatting with these people for a month and they are extremely helpful.

Hi,

Actually right now I have an order in for a Lia replica with ChrysCross Bridal. It should be ready to ship this week (I’m hoping today!). I’ll let you know how it goes once I get it. As of now, ChrysCross has been really helpful and professional.

I just got my dress today! It was gorgeous. I do need a few alterations, but for the most part they are minor. I reccomend using Chrys Cross. They did a great job on my Lia replica!
