Since I didn’t do such a good job describing the caribbean blue v. ice blue dilemma, I thought I would post pics of the two Jim Hjelm dresses I am debating between:
1) Caribbean blue
I don’t think I would use the rhinestone tiw, but the dress is very cute on. I think the color is brighter in person though
2) Ice blue
This dress is cute on too, but it is hard to wear a bra with it, which may be a deal breaker for some of my more well-endowed bridesmaids!

Miss Lily, being “well-endowed” myself, I also have to say that the first dress, while gorgeous, may also have a hard time with a bra. Not wearing one per se, but finding a good strapless one. I can’t wear them at all, and I’m a 36D, they just fall down, no matter which expensive bra I wear. Just an FYI.
I gave my bridesmaid freedom to pick out whatever style dress they wanted from http://www.simpledress.com. Many of the well endowed ladies tried the halter style dresses and found them to be *way* to much cleavage for their comfort. I would go try on your two dresses and see what looks best on your BMs.
I think the Caribbean blue is beautiful, but I am a fan of hot colors.
For your well-endowed bridesmaids:
TOPSTICK.
It’s a strong double sided tape originally used for toupees… but it’s used in the fashion industry a lot~ to keep your dress in place, or keep your ‘ladies’ together…

Do the nu bra, or topstick give you support? Usually, when I wear a strapless bra, it’s just too heavy, and my back hurts. It’s the same with halters, it ends up hurting my neck from supporting my “top shelf”. I don’t know if tape or the gel sticky things would work, and if so, would be comfortable, anyone try them?
the second one is very pretty. i like it better…it looks a bit more formal.
I’m lovin’ all the bra tips! Tell me more about this NU bra thing. What is it and where do you find it?
As for the strapless being hard for “the well endowed,” I have heard this before. It’s advantage is you don’t need a strapless/backless bra and is not quite as revealing. My MOH tried both on and felt comfortable in both (and she falls into the endowed camp), but I think one of my other bridesmaids is more sensitive to these issues. It’s never easy for us ladies, is it? But then again, we get to wear pretty dresses…

Which actually has two clear “Straps” that go up to the shoulder. It kinda looks weird. Damn.
the second one would be easier to wear with a longline bra or a halter/low back bra. and it is gorgeous! i think the strapless one requires … a very specific body type, whereas the halter would be flattering for many body types.
since we are discussing bras, what about one of those various position ones? the type where the straps can do all sorts of things? the straps could go around the neck for more support than just having a strapless bra on.

Topstick won’t hold up Dcups and make them look perky… but it WILL keep the dress from doing peekaboos.
I’m a full C, so I can relate to your woes… The nubra is awesome for ladies with small breasts who want a fuller look. But for C cup and up, it’ll just add more weight…
I think the best solution is a good convertible/strapless bra… and a dress that has more sturdy material, or a good structured lining.
#1 for me. it’s a good color and will look even better w/the right accessories!
Both dresses are lovely. If your bridesmaids are generally thin, I would go with the second one. If they’re not, then the first.
Wow. I can see I am not the only one who is divided on this dress issue. Well, I guess the moral is they are both great. Hee, hee.
i was just gonna say… the 2nd one looks great… however… with my small boobies… i don’t think i would look very flattering in it 
ooo they’re both very pretty but i’d lean towards the first one (i’m a fan of bright colors and it just seems more appropriate for your venue).
I would like the 2nd dress with the first color…
The first dress is gorgeous! My old roomie had DD cups but wore strapless dresses anyways and they always looked amazing on her.

I love both dresses! But I gotta say that the 1st one’s color really pops! Gorgeous~
Love the color of the first dress! As for cut - I think it really depends upon your BM since they are the ones that will be wearing it.
victoria’s secret has a great, cheap bra that you can buy that has a clear strap in the middle holding the cups together in a very low plunge. you can’t even actually see the clear strap with most tops-even super low cut ones. and it has convertible straps:
Ohhh, Nu Bra. Didn’t work for me.
I have C cups, and I bought two different Nu Bras–and I’m not huge, but they just added more weight and, at one point, almost caused a nightmare.
I’m all for a plunge strapless bra, and if you’re needing something in the realm of 38C and up, and can’t afford to spend a fortune, Lane Bryant has some great underthings for ladies. They’re not just for puffy girls like me, you know.
I’m also going with a Jim Hjelm dress in Caribbean blue for my bridesmaids…the color is GREAT. As for the dresses you’ve chosen I love #1, but one of my bridesmaids tried it on and unless you have a slim to trim figure, it makes you look kind of boxy. The second dress seems a little bit more versatile. Good Luck!
I am getting married next week and have chosen the gowns you have posted (same color) Wht I did was let my bridesmaids mix and match the Jim Hjelm dresses that came in that chiffon material and color. It ended up coincidentally that my bridesmaids picked the halter version of the dress and my two maids of honor picked the spaghetti strap version. But the color is what really stands out and it looks nice to have a little variety. So if worried how the girls may feel about the bra issue this maybe an alternative to suit their needs but your still keeping the same designer and color.

Can’t see the first dress, there seems to be a missing link, I like the second dress and the colour but you’d better hope your bridal party has the same perfect model shape as this woman otherwise they will look dumpy.
Ashley you are right about Lane Bryant they seem to have really great bras even if I’m not a plus size i still have to wear 36 DDD (genetics handed me a pain in the back). i’m having a wedding next year and I’d love to wear an off the shoulder dress but i’m really apprehensive about not having the full support bra that I’m used to. The one thing that can make a lady look like a million bucks is a bra that lifts them right up where they should be.
I’ll try the strapless bra they have on their site. Hopefully this will be a bit more comfortable and shape enhancing than taping the girls into position.
I think taking an old bra and sewing it into the dress is a great idea. You can snap the bra in the back and have the straps of the dress function as bra straps.
