Us Weekly has confirmed that Vince Vaughn, 36, has popped the question to his girlfriend of one year, Jennifer Aniston, 37. “They’re engaged!” a friend of the couple’s tells Us, adding, “Vince almost cries whenever he tells the story of the proposal.”

wait, why are you guys surprised? i’ve been reading about his impending proposal for months now! but then again, i do read Us Weekly, Star, In Style and all the other tabloid magazines. Its my thing - dont ask.

but recently all these tabloid/gossip blog sites said that jen was sad and depressed because vince said that he wouldn’t marry her and that’s why she got the puppy. in contrast, other sites say that jen is refusing to marry him because he’s not the marrying kind and that they broke up. i’m confused and i realized i read too much celebrity trash.

hahaha sara’s comment cracks me up. too much information is confusing- especially when probably not even half of it is true anyways.

that said, i also read us weekly, in addition to perezhilton, thesuperficial, omg blog, and about 30 others… daily. in my defense, they’re not aLL gossip blogs. but by the time i get my us weekly, i’ve usually read al lthe stories in it already… on blogs. sigh.

i feel sorry for jen. she’s inhuman! how can you immediately jump into another relationship after your husband ofr 4/5+ years cheats on you? you need a gooooood amount of time to heal! vince is a rebound hubby! maybe i’m pessimistic, but this is a sad relationship and i can’t say that i’m “happy” for jen. :O(

ha…i think i read too much of the celebrity trash as well!

I don’t read any of those things–the stuff on the TV Guide channel is about all I catch… but that said, I’m so surprised! They’re so cute together. I hate to get my hopes up,though. None of these Hollywood relationships seem to last long

i love jennifer aniston. she seems like such an easy going, down-to-earth type of person. so i was pretty sad for her when that dog brad pitt cheated on her. i’m not sure if this relationship w/vince vaughn is going to last too. you know how celeb relationships are like. it’s a miracle if they stay married for 5 years. i wish she would just marry a normal guy that’s not an actor. that would be so much better for her.

I watched Mr and Mrs Smith again recently and it reminded me that Vince Vaughn starred as Brad Pitt’s best friend. Isn’t that ironic?!

I also thought it was strange how Vince probably saw the chemistry between Brad and Angelina during the movie shoot. And now he’s with Brad’s ex-wife. Just a very strange coincidence.

If that’s what she wants to do, then I say more power to her…and I agree with Angie…whenever I see celebrities get married, I just wonder how long it’s going to be until the divorce. I don’t know how she was able to move on so fast, either. I think that whole situation is totally skeezy…I mean, the whole Brad cheating on her with Angelina. I too, read far too much celebrity trash.
