Celebrities Are People Too

August 15th, 2006 @ 11:15 am by Mrs. Bee

I had lunch with Mrs. Ladybug last week, and we got to talking about one of her old posts where she posted an US Weekly wedding photo of Megan Marshall and Aiden Turner (from All My Children). Megan wore the same Amsale dress Mrs. Ladybug wore in her wedding, and several comments were made about how Mrs. Ladybug looked better in the dress. Megan then came across the post, saw everyone’s comments, and posted a comment of her own. When I heard that, I just felt horrible because I think everyone is beautiful on their wedding day.

I’ve mentioned that sometimes readers forget that the weddingbees are real people, and how hurtful comments really do affect us. But then I found myself guilty of the exact same thing - when I made a comment on that post, it never occured to me that Megan might come across weddingbee and read it. Often it’s easy to forget that celebrities are real people too. I can’t imagine how Megan must have felt, but I can say that she was extremely gracious, classy, and kind.

Megan - I think you looked beautiful on your wedding day and on behalf of weddingbee and the weddingbee community, we want to wish you and Aiden all the luck and happiness in the world. :)

I had to look back at that post, and I have to say that Megan really does look very beautiful in her dress and so does Mrs. Ladybug. They have different looks, but the dress matches both of their looks beautifully.

Sincerely, both of you really did look absolutely gorgeous

Both look absolutely stunning. I think it’s one of those things where you’re at the prom and your high school enemy is wearing the same dress that your best friend is wearing and you wanna encourage her buy saying she looks way better. (but Megan is not the enemy) :)

Megan was a beautiful bride, as was Mrs. Ladybug. I think celebrities are often put down more often, just because of the fact that they are famous. Megan, you rock!

i love both dresses on both women! they each made the dress their own and pulled off different looks. it makes me sad to know megan found those comments but am glad she 1. said something and 2. said it nicely. and i’m glad wb stood up and made an apology about it. good people all the way around.

It is amazing how the same dress can look like 2 totally different dresses on different people. I probably never would have noticed…both women did look beautiful…I think we’re all a little bias when it comes to who looks better. And Mrs. Ladybug just happens to have my dream rocking body!!
