poor miss caterpillar. you look so defeated there. it’ll be ok!

i always thought only the people along the aisle got the petal cones… otherwise how could the people on the inside reach you? unless they would be tossing them as you left the ceremony site heading to your reception site?

Miss Caterpillar, you look like I felt going over the stupid guest list (”What? I only have 3 friends?”). I love the ceremony cones- but as I am a little retarded, I wanted to ask, when do our guests throw the crap at us? Since we’re literally walking from the ceremony to pictures, and walking up a floor to the reception. When is it? Should I just forget the tossing of the crap?

i agree with kanipark, have a night with your friends to plug through them. you do run the risk of not getting as much done [but with tons of fun] but you may also get a ton done [with lots of fun] so either way, it’s good. hopefully the light at the end of the tunnel is coming soon.

would you put the cones on the chairs in the ceremony beforehand? or have them passed out afterwards?

You are all so cute! Thank you for your sympathy.

My bridesmaids happen to be in Zanzibar currently, and won’t be back until right before the wedding. But, maybe I could trick Mr. Caterpillar into helping.

The cones will be hung on the ceremony chairs before guests arrive, and the petals will be tossed as we leave the ceremony. Sure, we’re only going around the corner for pictures, but I think that still warrants some petals tossed. Right Amber?

Keep going, get someone to help. You were my inspiration - I used your template, well you sent it to me, but then for my cones since I was using plain paper, not pretty like yours, my mom came up with her own template that suited the plain blue paper better. if it makes you feel better we’re making 250 cones:) but i have to give my parents most of the credit, even my dad who thought it was dumb, has gotten into it and they’ve been making cones in the evenings, much better than me because the ten cones i made my mom ranked the bottom point a “0″ for neatness. i am not very DIY:)
can you send some cones to someone out of town to work on?:)

Miss C, I absolutely agree with you- I want flowers tossed on me everyday, and the one day it’s actually OK? Totally. I’m worrying now, though, that since the only place we’re running to after our afternoon wedding is upstairs- we got a suite in the hotel. How would that work? We make everyone come outside so they can throw petals, but then we have to go back inside to go to our room? SUCKS. And what about after ceremony petals- will I have petals all over me in our pictures?

enlist the bridal troops. offer food and they will come.

…or maybe that’s just my friends. they hear pizza and beer in the same sentence and they’ll be there. ;o)

Yes you’re exhausted, but I do think your hard work will pay off! Imagine how proud you’re going to feel on your big day seeing these pretty cones that are created by YOURSELF! Give yourself a pat on the back :-). I have gigantuous admiration for DIYs like you! I suck at making things myself .. not crafty even though I want to be… booo. So yay for you Ms. Caterpillar!

I was wondering if you could send me the template for your petal cones? And good luck on finishing them!
