Project Runway fans may remember Austin Scarlett from the first season of the hit Bravo reality show.
Although he didn’t go on to win, the show did garner him a position designing for Amsale’s Kenneth Pool line. Check out Nina Callaway’s interview with the Project Runway alum and take a gander of some designs from his Spring 2007 Collection. I think it’s a mighty fine debut!

I like the upper left dress. I see Austin walking on 39th from time to time, by my job. I think because RK Bridal is up the street.
huge fan of project runway. i may be borderline obsessed. but i think this is perfect for austin. he always had that romantic theme going in all of his designs so wedding gowns were the way to go.

I loved him from the very beginning, he always had a knack for beautifully made clothes, especially gowns! I absolutely love all of the wedding gowns above…I wish I was getting married all over again, so I can try one and maybe even buy one of his designs. I can dream can’t I?
I think that’s even more exciting than winning the project runway! His designs are ethereal and insanely gorgeous…why oh why don’t I live in NYC??!!!
I didn’t really follow that season of Project Runway but his designs are amazing!
