In today’s beehive:

  • leishia wants to include her dog in her wedding photos and is wondering if there are any functional roles for a pet besides ringbearer.
  • S wants to know for those of you who debated between having a local or destination wedding, how did you ultimately decide? And where did you start in choosing the destination site?

See all past beehives here. To add your question to the beehive, leave a comment below and we’ll update this post to include your question.

Leishia–I’ve heard of weddings where the dog can serve as an escort–either your own (if parents are deceased/not involved) or that of a lone parent or grandparent. We’re having my dog at the wedding, and she will escort my mom down the aisle. :) Good luck with whatever you figure out!

Dear weddingbee(ers),

My fiance and I are debating whether to do a local wedding (at a hotel or mueseum which seems more traditional) or a destination wedding (where we’d really trim the guest list and make it more intimate/informal). There seems to be so many pros and cons to both. If any of you have had that debate as well, how did you ultimately decide and where do you start in terms of choosing the ‘destination’ site? Thanks~
