These french lavender buds are on sale.

When I first thought about our favors, I wanted to make these exact sachets to give out. They reminded me of France, where we were engaged, and I thought it would be nice to tie it in to our wedding somehow.

This is one of my favorite perfumes from one of my favorite stores. If I return to France, I must visit Provence in July, the time of the annual harvest. Imagine the fields of lavender…. Did you know that you can even mix lavender into homemade ice tea?

Anyway I eventually decided not to make the lavender sachets, because I realized that male guests may not appreciate nor know what to do with them. Plus the allergy factor played a role too. However, I think these sachets would make great favors for a bridal shower. Hmm… maybe I’ll suggest that to my bridesmaids. (I really have to learn to stop putting my fingers in things that I’ve delegated… hehe.)
