Bridesmaid Newsletter

August 29th, 2006 @ 12:54 pm by Mrs. Lily

It’s cheesy, it’s corny, and I just couldn’t contain myself. I had to make a bridesmaid newsletter. I am one of those weirdos that still loves to write letters. I like buying stationery, new pens, putting stamps on envelopes, and licking the seal (well, OK, not the licking the seal part, that’s kind of gross). When I heard that there’s such a thing as a bridesmaid newsletter, I had to do it!!!

bridesmaid.jpg

The first page is a bunch of mumbo-jumbo with our wedding date, location, and a note from the bride and groom. The second page introduces each of the bridesmaids to one another. I blocked it off for their privacy, but the lefthand side is all pictures (one for each girl) and the right are little blurbs I wrote about them. Aw.

that is very nice of you. plus it gives the girls updates on the progress and each other, which is handy if they don’t know each other already.

I have 6 bridesmaids in total… just one of them has met all the others (because we grew up together AND she lives in NYC). Otherwise, 2 know each other well and 3 know each other well. Hopefully they will just laugh and think I am a dork!

I’m doing the exact same thing! Cheesy, yes, but I realize that some of my bridesmaids don’t really know the others (none of them known everybody) and we’re spanning three different states so it’s going to be practically impossible for us all to get together before the wedding… so, yeah… yay for bridesmaid newsletters!!!!! :)

i love the idea of a bridesmaid letter, but i’m not very artsy so my version of a bridesmaid letter would end up looking like a boring email. ddoh!

I am really wanting to do something like this but, don’t have any idea on what to say without coming across as demanding. I would like my “would be” bridesmaids to know what I am wanting them to help me with during my wedding reception. I call them my “Would Be” bridesmaids because my fiance & I aregoing off to St. Lucia to get married just the two of us but, when we return we plan to have the big reception as normal. I hope that they will still be involved & help me with all of the decorating of the reception hall & so on but, I’d like to do the newsletter because I am an organized freak & would think that it would help all of my “would be” bridesmaids understand what I’m expecting of them & like you said I’d like to know how you went about introducing them to eachother through the newsletter. Do you think you could email me a few ‘pointers?’ PUH-LEASE help me! I don’t know where to start! Brittanywlkrsn@yahoo.com
Thanks!!!!
