Cheap Wedding Rings

I’m one of those crazy people who had to get the matching diamond band to go with my pave engagement ring…
BUT - I’m not sure I’m going to want to wear the diamond band alllll the time, since gunk could get stuck in between the diamonds, I’d be heartbroken if it fell off when I was swimming, etc. So I have decided that I need to get (at least!) one other wedding band that doesn’t have diamonds, that I can wear on its own if I go camping or swimming or anywhere else I don’t quite feel like wearing the diamond band.
My favorite site for gazing at cheap options is e-weddingbands.com which has a wide variety of both men’s and women’s rings, in a wiiiide variety of prices! We are most likely going to buy Mr. Bluebell’s real wedding ring here (in titanium I think?), and I am totally picking up (at least!) one backup wedding ring! Now that I’ve gotten this idea in my head and seen how cheap they can be, I kind of want to have tons of options.

All of these (and the other really cheap ones) are in white or yellow gold, but they also have a huge number of platinum, titanium, tungsten, and two-tone bands, as well as bands with diamonds! I have not personally ordered from them before, but I have seen great consumer reviews on Pricescope which is my go-to place for anything diamond or ring related. (The forums there are extremely helpful if you are searching for information on diamonds in general, vendors, whether a specific stone is a good deal, etc.)
E-weddingbands also offers engraving and what looks like a great return policy in case you’re not satisfied. I totally feel like an ad, but I swear I just like them!!
And if you can get multiple fun wedding rings for the price of one “normal” ring elsewhere, why not have a bit of fun with it??
Are any of you getting “backup” wedding rings to wear in different situations? Are you having diamonds in your wedding band or do you want one you can wear 24-7 no matter what? What great sites have you found for browsing and/or buying rings?

Okay, so I was totally going to get this braided band. I just LOVE it. Maybe I’ll get the yellow gold one to wear to the wedding, just for the yellow of it! We’re (meaning, I) will be getting a plain white gold band, as well as ones with diamonds, since it makes sense to take the sturdy pair to Hawaii on our honeymoon!
the first ring is really cute… i think if you put 3 of them on together… it would be even better… i wear my engagement ring & wedding band (sleeve/jacket) on everyday… i love it too much to take it off…
I am doing the exact same thing. I’m going with the matching half eternity band to my engagement ring so I have the set.
But for our ceremony I wanted a plain band (b/c I’m jewish) and I also wanted a simple band so I don’t abuse the diamond one.
When I’m cleaning or at the gym or swimming or going to the Bronx… I simply won’t want to wear my diamonds everywhere… therefore I need a plain one.
I told my FI this and at first he was concerned about how much more money he’s going to have to spend… but I told him it’s this or I won’t wear a ring at all sometimes. He laughed. Anyways… I totally think I’m going to that website that you suggested. Great idea!! Thanks for the tip!

but believe me, it gets a lot of gunk in the curlicues and spaces and stuff. not easy to keep clean! but worth it, for sure. 
How do tungsten and titanium rings compare as an alternative to gold or platinum? I didn’t even know rings came in those materials until I started looking around.
yes i have a back up band that i fondly call my “honeymoon wedding band.” i have a shared prong diamond wedding band that i won’t be taking on my HM, nor will i be taking my e-ring. so i’ll be traveling with my knife edge WG w-band. i love it. it still matches my e-ring perfectly, just sans diamonds which equal sans worry!
i don’t recommend swimming with rings on. according to a local paper in hawaii (i’m from there) jewelry gets lost quite often on beaches because your hands shrink from the cold water!

i also got my ring from bluenile.com — their prices are good depending on what designs you get. i opted for a plain one because for our wedding bands, i wanted the exact same ring design that my fiance has. if he wants a simple band, i want a simple band.
My fi and I got our weddingbands from e-weddingbands.com. I HIGHLY recommend them. I hadn’t thought about backup rings before now. Jeff’s doesn’t have any diamonds in it so I don’t imagine he’ll want a backup, but I can see how it could be a really good idea for me (my wedding ring has 5 Hearts on Fire diamonds in it)…

There is a link on the upper right side of e-weddingbands.com that compares the difference between metals. Since last year I’ve been curious about titanium bands ever since my manager planned to purchase a set as anniversary gift. He said they are the “new platinum”. However, I have not heard people catching on to this metal. Have anyone purchased titanium rings?

Oh i just talked to PriceScope too on “Diamonds are a man’s best friend too?” post! We’re not getting back up rings. My fiance is getting me a pave infinity diamond wedding band. I think I’ll love it too much to ever want to take it off :-).
I don’t have my engagement ring yet…but I have a white gold band with 7 diamonds in it (my promise ring), and I take it off when I get in the shower, or go swimming. I’ve never thought about getting another ring or anything…I just take it off when I don’t want my ring to get ruined/damaged.

My husband and I got matching tungsten rings. We initially tried a set of titanium which were referred to as the new platinum, but they were so light weight. We worried with our outdoor activities we would never know if they came off of our fingers. So we decided on tungsten, and amazingly these little hummers do not scratch. They are also very heavy. Mine weighs 14.8 grams!! I know when it comes off of my finger (it is not that loose). They can’t be resized, but if you deal with a reputable company you will be offered the ability to exchange it if you change sizes…..they don’t lose money becaues, they don’t scratch so they can resell it even after you wearing it for YEARS. We got ours from tungstenovernight.com Great customer service and they don’t use cobalt, which is good!!

I got a non-stone band for my wedding band. I had thought I might want something more but after wearing my engagement ring for 6 months and constantly having to take it off to do the dishes, go through boxes of documents etc. I decided I wanted a wedding band that I could wear constantly.
I think I posted this before but one of my friends used to be a geological engineer and she had to go out into the field aka camping so her husband got her a “field wedding ring” since her regular ring had diamonds and such on it. Her field ring was a sterling silver unglorified number much like what you listed.
I don’t know about swimming with my wedding band though! My fiance and I were thinking about that too because we are going on our honeymood to Hawaii. I think I need to look up how platinum reacts to salt water!
