Spanx: Which One?

August 31st, 2006 @ 6:17 pm by Mrs. Bee

We’ve talked about Spanx to death here on weddingbee, and I’ve heard nothing but raves about them. But now I really need your help deciding which one to purchase because I’m planning on wearing them to the next wedding I attend (the couple reads weddingbee so now they’re gonna know I’m wearing Spanx! blush3.gif).

These are the three I’m deciding between:

Slim Incognito Seamless Control Panty, $42

spanx1.JPG

Slim Incognito Seamless Mid-Thigh Shaper, $58

spanx3.JPG

and the Power Panties, $25.

My dilemma is I’d like tummy and thigh control, but not so much the bootay control ‘cuz I need help plumping, not slimming there. Also the mid thigh shaper and power panties look similar, but there is a big price difference. Is the mid thigh shaper just a higher quality product?

Have you tried any one of these? Which one would you recommend?

i tried the middle one and the slip one that they have. i liked it but i didn’t like that i couldn’t breathe. hehe so i wore it once and never wore it again. BUT it did flatten everything out. but i just didn’t like feeling like a human sausage casing. hehe

The mid thigh shaper is the way to go. I swear I was 2 sizes smaller at a wedding I went to recently where I had to wear an unforgiving bridesmaid dress. The difference between the mid thigh and the last option is the type of material that is used.

mid thigh. i say the more it covers, the better because it really gives you a different shape.

I have the power panties as well and they are nice but very tight. Be sure you follow the size chart and you might even consider buying one size larger because they are small (as in they look like doll clothes when you open them)!
