Gocco? Gocco?

September 1st, 2006 @ 10:23 pm by Mrs. Bee

Silly poll for a rainy Friday holiday night…

I just told Mr. Bee that I was going to play with my Gocco this weekend. I’ve been pronouncing it Go-Ko, but Mr. Bee pronounces it Gawk-Ko. Seeing as how the product is made in Japan and Mr. Bee is half Japanese, he’s probably correct. I actually have no idea how to pronounce it. ;)

How do you pronounce Gocco?

The person who uncovers the go-ko vs. gawk-ko mystery has a great step by step of how the gocco actually works. (thanks ocicat!)

Isn’t a vowel before a double consonant a short vowel? Like happy, hoppy, potter versus pogo?

I typed “gocco pronunciation” in google and this was the first hit:

Pronunciation: I was pronouncing it “gawk-o”, but learned at my local Paper Source that it is actually “go co” like “loco”, hence their “Loco for Gocco” class.

i put that i pronounced it as “gawk-o,” because i initially did pronounce it that way, and i don’t want mr. bee to feel like the only dummy haha. we’re all loco for gocco!

I saw that site yesterday. I wonder if there’s a youtube with gocco stuffy. That would be wonderful. I’m almost ready to buy a gocco myself. Mrs. Bee, can you please update us on your gocco usage once you’re done creating beautiful things?

Can someone please tell me if there is a size that will print 5×7 or if this one will hold 5×7 paper while it prints a 4×6 image?

I am so wanting one!
Thanks
