My fiance and I met exactly one week before I was moving nearly a thousand miles away over four years ago. On our first date we talked until almost 3AM. We made plans to get together the next day to drive out to a park. I went to pick him up (because I drive a convertible!). I went inside his apartment and he had a picnic basket all packed and was just adding the wine. A surprise picnic! He had gotten up at 8 AM and called his sister to borrow her picnic basket. It was incredibly romantic and we kissed for the first time overlooking a lake.

He has continued to surprise me with romantic gestures including our engagement this past April. We will be married at the end of this month.
