Open Question

September 10th, 2006 @ 12:05 pm by Open Question

I was wondering if you could post this… I found these really really cute korean bride & groom cake toppers, and I’m desperately looking for them. I’ve already done countless online searches with no luck.

Open Question : wedding advice cake Bride%20and%20groom bride and groom.jpg

~~~
Hi Peachy!
I actually own those same wooden dolls! I puchase them from the duty-free shops at the airports each time I visit Korea. In fact I’ve given them to my friends as gifts before! Unfortunately I haven’t seen them in the States anywhere. They’re also about 9 inches tall and quite heavy in case you can’t tell in the pictures. But they are oh so cute!
Anyone else know where Peachy might purchase these Korean wedding dolls?
that site had the wedding couple but not the same style….the bride looks kind of sad actually…
that site had the traditional ones which could be another alternative
and that site had a traditional/comical one which could also be really cute…but i do hope u find the exact ones you’re looking for
i found these at a korean site (i think it’s namdaemun shijang online!) in 3 sizes… not sure if they do international sales though… here are the links for the individual sizes:
I just received those at my shower this past Saturday!!! She told me that they’re kinda like the Korean wooden ducks, when you’re fighting they face away and when you’ve made up they kiss :). I’ll ask my friend where she got them… I’m in Chicago though…
oh, thanks everyone!
the yesasia ones are SOOOO adorable, and very reasonably priced…
… but the great news is, one of my friends happens to be in korea visiting family, and he happened to find these in a store walking around. AND, they were only $4.95 (US), so he’s bringing them back home to me in chicago. yay!!!!
